We March, We Rise: Fighting for LGBTQIA+ Rights—Louder Than Ever
Washington, D.C. — In the face of growing legislative attacks on LGBTQIA+ communities across the United States, We March, We Rise has emerged as a grassroots force dedicated to protecting queer rights, trans lives, and the futures of LGBTQIA+ youth. Founded by two everyday citizens—Joseph M. (he/him) and Joshua G. (he/him)—who juggle full-time jobs while refusing to stand on the sidelines, this movement is driven by passion, resilience, and the unwavering belief that silence is not an option.
Our Mission
We March, We Rise is a grassroots LGBTQIA+ advocacy movement focused on demanding real, systemic change. We fight for queer rights, trans protections, workplace equity, corporate accountability, and inclusive education. Through bold activism, protest, and direct action, we are committed to building a future where equality isn’t negotiable—where dignity and respect are the baseline, not the exception.
Our Fight Is Simple
LGBTQIA+ Equality – No more debates about our existence. We demand full legal and social recognition for LGBTQIA+ people—without exceptions or loopholes.
Codifying Same-Sex Marriage – Our right to marry who we love should never be at risk again. It’s time for full federal codification.
Trans Rights & Protections – Trans lives are not political bargaining chips. We demand access to healthcare, workplace protections, and legal recognition for all trans and nonbinary individuals.
LGBTQIA+ Youth & Education – No more book bans. No more fear. No more silence. We stand against political fearmongering and the erasure of queer history from classrooms.
Global LGBTQIA+ Solidarity – Our fight doesn’t stop at borders. We stand in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities worldwide, pushing for asylum protections and diplomatic pressure against oppressive regimes.
Corporate Accountability – Pride is not a marketing strategy. We demand corporations stop profiting off queer people during Pride Month while quietly funding anti-LGBTQIA+ politicians the rest of the year.
The March on Washington—April 30, 2025
Our next major action is a massive nationwide march for LGBTQIA+ rights on April 30, 2025—the 100th day of the current administration. The flagship protest will take place in Washington, D.C., marching from the Capitol to the White House, with coordinated protests across the country for those who cannot make it to the nation’s capital.
This is not just another march. It’s a call to action. It’s a fight for our lives, our rights, and our futures.
“We’re not backing down,” says co-founder Joseph M. “We’re not hiding. We’re not sitting this out. Our community is under attack, and silence isn’t an option. We’re here, we’re queer, and we’re not going anywhere.”
Building the Movement—One Voice at a Time
While some movements thrive in silence, We March, We Rise thrives in noise. We’re calling on LGBTQIA+ youth, adults, community members, families, allies—and anyone who refuses to watch rights be stripped away—to join us. From the streets to the ballot box, from classrooms to Congress—this fight belongs to everyone.
We know that not everyone can make it to D.C.—that’s why we’re organizing local chapters across all 50 states. Our mission is to ensure that queer youth, especially those in conservative and rural communities, have access to advocacy, support, and resources—no matter where they are.
Our Community of Support
From the very beginning, We March, We Rise has been fortunate to have the unwavering support of NoVoiceUnheard. Their dedication and ongoing advocacy have been a cornerstone of our movement, and we are deeply grateful for everything they’ve done. Their commitment has not only strengthened our foundation but has inspired us to push forward, louder and prouder. We look forward to future collaborations and continuing this fight together.
We are actively seeking to expand our network and are open to partnering with any organization, movement, or collective that directly supports, advocates for, or stands in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community. If you or your organization want to be part of this fight, we encourage you to reach out. We need all the support, outreach, and voices we can gather. Together, we are stronger.
This Movement Is for You
We know the challenges. We feel the exhaustion. But we are not stopping. We are building something bigger than a protest. We’re building lasting power for the LGBTQIA+ community.
This isn’t just our fight—it’s everyone’s. We invite all who believe in equality, justice, and human dignity to stand with us.
We see you. We hear you. And together, we’re getting louder.
